Welcome to Casa Colina Outdoor Adventures, a unique Therapeutic Recreation program which provides high adventure recreation in the natural world.
Since 1985 Outdoor Adventures has been an integral part of the Casa Colina continuum of services addressing the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of people with a broad range of physical and cognitive disabilities.
This program is facilitated by Therapeutic Recreation Specialists with over 59 years of combined professional experience developing, facilitating and managing outdoor recreational programs including residential camping services, experiential education, ropes courses & teambuilding and outdoor recreation risk assessment & management. Both Anne and Jen are Wilderness First Responders and Advanced PADI Divers.
Whether you join us on an adventure as a participant, volunteer or family member we welcome you to the Outdoor Adventures family.
Experiencing Outdoor Adventures with a group of peers can only enhance the traditional program. By developing Peer Groups, we hope to provide a venue where by each person can more intimately share personal life experiences, develop camaraderie with people of similar abilities, and benefit from peer knowledge.
Peer Groups help to foster support systems that will accelerate the already established benefits of Outdoor Adventures, enhance a willingness to participate in new activities and promote the opportunity for peer relationship outside of Outdoor Adventures.
